Scarlett is a Registered Dietitian (RD), a national credential administered by the American Dietetic Association, as well as a Certified Dietitian (CD), a health professional certification for the State of Washington.

The RD credential ensures that Scarlett has completed:

All of her degrees from
accredited universities
A 1000-hour accredited
dietetic internship
A national registration
Board Exam (similar to
Registered Nurse)

Scarlett Has been an RD and a CD since February 2003. In order to remain an RD, Scarlett completes at least 75 hours of Continuing Education every five years.

Scarlett earned her Master's Degree in Health Policy and Management with a Concentration in Nutrition at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Before this she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Scarlett founded Ramey Nutrition in 2007 to meet the increasing demand for high quality nutrition consulting in private settings. Prior to this, Scarlett was the Director of Dietetics for an Intensive Outpatient clinic focused solely on treating eating disorders. This is a specialty of hers and she is passionate about assisting those with eating disorders to lead healthy, vital lives.

Scarlett has also worked as the Dietetic Manager for the Renal unit at Central Suffolk Hospital in NY and served as the Chief Clinical Dietitian for the skilled nursing facility.
