Movement Therapy
Our approach to balance in the body includes movement designed specifically for your needs. Whether that includes lowering blood sugar or cholesterol, reducing stress, increasing strength, rehabilitating from an injury, moving physically through an emotional process, gently introducing yourself to fitness, or reaching personal fitness goal, Ramey Nutrition has provided an excellent system of support, within which, you experience movement , while remaining safe.
- Our Diabetes Fitness is specifically designed to lower hemoglobin A1C’s by supporting group fitness that acclimates people to how their bodies respond to different movement. Blood sugar is taken previous to and after each class and adjusted with a snack if needed. Resistance, and aerobic movement is the focus, but ids executed in a fun group setting that includes activities that keep people coming back for more.
- Our Fitness for All is designed as a safe and unique fitness program for anyone wanting to attain a particular strength or fitness goal. This is an out-of-gym experience with no mirrors, pressure, or machines, but a true sense of community and camaraderie. The motivation is extremely high between the community of people there to support each other, and our instructor, who pays very close attention to each person’s personal improvements, letting them know what they are and how far they’ve come.
- Our Gentle Movement is designed to reintroduce movement to people who are either disassociated with their bodies, or have not used them in a physical manner in a long time if ever. Past physical history, injuries, and limitations are discussed previous to each session, and movements are specifically executed in a group manner with individual alterations to respect each participant’s abilities. Increasing abilities and strength are the goals of this group.
- Our Gentle Yoga is a meditative gentle experience welcome to all with different levels of flexibility and strength. Our instructor individualizes movements to maximize relaxation, flexibility and stress reduction. Our goal is stress management, and allowing people to truly “be” with themselves for an hour and feel where their bodies need care, emotionally, or physically.
